Job Summary

The facilities technician is responsible for assisting the facilities manager as appropriate within a cGMP work area. This includes assisting with assembling, constructing, and maintaining areas for manufacturing, grounds keeping, facility cleanliness, and organization. The facilities assistant reports to the Facilities Manager. The facilities technician is expected to work in a team environment with operations technicians, quality technicians, and other company employees.

Experience:

Adhering to company standard operating procedures

Mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge

Use of basic tools and power equipment

Read and understand schematics and blueprints

Writing reports

Responsibilities:

The facilities technician is responsible for executing tasks required to have a safe working environment. The assistant shall follow appropriate SOP and execute deliverable in a manner consistent standards in the pharmaceutical field. Additional activities include grounds keeping and facilities maintenance. Excellent written and verbal skills with report writing is also required.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

This position requires outdoor tasks and use of a ladder. Roof access and maintenance. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Standing for long periods of the day.
